Copper was Sky and Crow's mother. She was rescued from the Island of Fire, but was originally from Warbler Island. After the final battle in Island of Dragons, Copper became the new leader of Warbler Island.

Personality

Appearance

Copper has long[1] copper hair[1], a few shades lighter than Sky's.[1][2] Her skin is also a bit lighter than Sky's.[2] She used to wear scarves over it.[1] She looks like an older version of Sky.[2] She has orange eyes.[1][2] She also has scars around her neck from the thorns weaved through her skin on Warbler. When Kaylee is trying to guess Sky's ancestry, she guesses that Sky had South American or Mexican ancestors[3]; it can be assumed that Copper looks that way, too.

"Her name is Copper, by the way, which is also the same color as her hair, so that will help you identify her."
― The Unwanteds: Island of Legends, "The Team" (167)
"Her hair is long and a little bit lighter than [Sky’s]...She wears scarves over it, or at least she did. And she has the golden-orange eyes and thorn necklace as well."
― The Unwanteds: Island of Legends, "The Team" (167)
"...not just because of the orange eyes or the thorny necklace she wore, but because Copper looked like an older version of Sky, only with lighter hair and skin."
― The Unwanteds: Island of Legends, "The Tale of the Sacrifice" (316)

History

Copper, as well as her parents, were born on Warbler.[4] She lived there for an unspecified amount of time, where she had Sky and Crow. She was sold to the pirates on the Island of Fire at some point.
